A few days ago I showed you a glimpse of this fabric and mentioned there was a project up my sleeve. Here you have it!
check out the fancy trim :) |
The rest of our bathroom is still a work in progress, so we'll do some better photos once new paint, light fixtures, art, etc. are in place!
This fabric is fabulous. Feels so full of LIFE. Adds some major pizazz and style :)
So fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie-
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric! I'm using a similar leafy fabric (from Spoonflower) as pillows in our living room. Your trim detail is just what the fabric needed. Well done!
Abby
Love that fabric, makes such a fun shower curtain !
ReplyDeletethanks tammy! we are really enjoying it - brings lots of spunk to a tiny bathroom :)
DeleteHi! What fabric is this? I'm looking for this exact palm leaf fabric for some bedroom curtains :)
ReplyDeleteHi Annie - sorry about the delay! You can find the fabric here: http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=849e9d85-33ff-43a0-b3a5-89f0e53235d9. Great price too!
ReplyDeleteI am SO in love with this pattern and I want to make this Tommy Bahama fabric in to a shower curtain as well, but I'm finding the measurements from fabric.com aren't wide enough compared to an average shower curtain. What are you measurements? Are they an average size?
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal - you're right, it's not wide enough. My seam is towards the bottom of the shower curtain. It's definitely not ideal, and might drive you crazy. I knew mine was a temporary fix so it's not a big deal. You could use a ribbon trim or something to cover the seam, to make it look intentional...just a thought! Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie -
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. Great job! Just curious - how many yards did you end up using for this?
Hi Steph - thanks! We think it's pretty fun. I'm sorry but I don't recall how many yards. What I will say is that the fabric is not wide enough for a shower curtain, so you'll have a seam somewhere. If I were to make this over again, I would either make two panels (like window curtain panels, one pushed to each side), or would place the seam in the center and hide it with trim to make it look intentional. Hope this helps a little!
DeleteUm... hello!?!? Are you serious? THis Is AmaZING!!! I'm obsessed! It's so original and the trim is really just killing me. I only just found your blog (clicking through from A Creative Day and the sweet comment you left Eileen) and I'm ecstatic about this. SOOO cute.
